Data Center Sales Executive

Who we are:

Inpho is delivering an industry first and the Holy Grail of high-speed optical communications—integrated high-speed electronics and optical components (lasers, laser modulators, photodiodes, etc.) on a single semiconductor substrate resulting in much, much higher speeds at lower power and lower cost.

Inpho new class of electro-photonic chips is poised to revolutionize and disrupt the optical interconnect market. Utilizing this new class of chips enables existing optical interconnect systems to be built at much lower cost, new architectures to be deployed that provide significantly higher price/performance and a whole new generation of higher speed interconnect to be built that to date have been impossible.

The market opportunity for Inpho products in the data center:

The largest and fastest growing market for the Inpho chips is data center interconnect. Here speed is everything and it is never fast enough. The state-of-the-art data center interconnect is provided by a 400G module today. Customers are already demanding the next generation of interconnect—the 800G module. The speed of Inpho chips make them the only devices that can easily meet the performance needs for 800G. In fact, we can see a clear path to 1.6T. Inpho can launch and dominate this market that will replace 400G.

What we are looking for:

We want a highly motivated, entrepreneurial sales executive who has a proven track record of selling electro-optical products into the data center market. There is a never ending quest for higher speeds, lower power and higher reliability. Inpho is delivering the products that can upend this market and we need a sales executive who can make that happen from a business point of view.

Responsibilities

  •  Open up the data center market for Inpho products

  • Sell into all parts of the ecosystem—module makers, data center customers, etc.

  • Hire and manage a field system engineer to create the selling team

  • Work closely with the CEO and technical team on winning the key accounts

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years selling electro-optical technology into the data center market

  • At least 5 years of successful technology sales

  • Experience in a small company environment

  • BS in Engineering
